The Digital 4 in 1 Soil Moisture Meter provides information to help you monitor the environment your indoor plants are in.

Light Intensity

Get an indication of the light level in the area around your plant. Nine levels of light intensity are measured: LOW-, LOW, LOW+, NOR-, NOR, NOR+, HGH-, HGH, HGH+.

Soil Moisture

Put the probe into the soil to get a moisture reading. The single probe is good to get deep into most plants without upsetting the root system. The display will show one of five levels: DRY+, DRY, NOR, WET, WET+. The moisture reading comes up fairly quickly.

pH Measurement

For pH levels move the switch at the back of the meter. The pH range measured is  from 3.5 to 9.0 pH.

A pH reading greater than 7 is alkaline, a reading less than 7 is acidic. Most indoor plants like slightly acidic soil somewhere between 6 and 7. There are exceptions though, succulents can tolerate a pH of up to 7 – 8. Maintaining the proper pH level is important because it affects nutrient availability and uptake by plants. When the soil pH is too high or too low, certain nutrients may become unavailable to the plants, which can result in stunted growth and poor development.

Temperature

The temperature range measured is: -9 to 50 ℃  (16 to 122 ℉). Use the button at the side to change from celsius to farenheight.
