The Alert Soil Moisture Sensor measures the water content in the soil of your plants so you can easily see whether you need to water now or leave it another day or two. Over-watering or under-watering indoor plants is one of the biggest causes of plant disease. This great little sensor will help you keep your plants healthy and thriving.

You just place the sensor into the soil of the plant. It is important you put the sensor deep into the soil so you can get an accurate reading. Press the button and instantly the light appears and will indicate one of the following:

RED:        0-15% moisture in the soil

GREEN:   16-60% moisture in the soil (optimal for most plants)

BLUE:      61%-100% moisture in the soil

We recommend this handy little tool for any plant enthusiast. Good for managing one plant or many, a soil moisture sensor will help you quickly decide whether watering is needed. Sometimes the top of the plant is dry but deep down there is still a lot of moisture near the roots. To save you digging around in the soil just use the sensor to detect if your plant has enough moisture. As a result you will have happier plants.
