What is Crazy Keiki Cloning Paste?
Crazy Keiki Cloning Paste is a revolutionary formula designed to stimulate keiki (Hawaiian for “offspring”) on nodes on your existing orchids. Developed with the utmost care and precision, the cloning paste provides the essential nutrients  needed to encourage the formation of new shoots, resulting in healthy, vigorous orchid offspring.
The paste is not only useful for orchids, it can also be used on the natural nodes of many different indoor plants including but not limited to hoya, anthurium, philodendron, monstera, string of hearts, ficus and more.
What is in Crazy Keiki Cloning Paste?
- It contains a blend of several natural cytokinins that promote cell division.
- It is water resistant due to the lanolin base, so your paste won’t wash off during watering.
- It fertilises your new growing baby orchid or leaf and also protects plant from fungus and viruses.
FAQ
Can you use Keiki Paste on an orchid that is blooming?
Yes!
How many nodes can I put Keiki Cloning Paste on?
This will depend on the size and health of the plant you are using it on. In general 2-3 nodes is usually about right for a medium sized plant.
How many times do I need to apply it?
Just once. It is a lanolin-based product making it water resistant so keep eating your plant as usual. We recommend regularly fertilising the plant to support the new leaves.
How long does it take to work?
Generally one to three weeks but this does depend on the health of your plant and the type of plant.
Included in the box:
- Crazy Keiki Cloning Paste 7ml (the bottle is small but a little goes a long way).
- Step by Step instructions for a variety of popular indoor plants.
- Five applicators to get you started.
How to Use Crazy Keiki Cloning Paste
- Identify the node on your orchid or plant where you want a keiki to form.
- Clean the area to remove any dust or debris.
- On an orchid clear away the bract using a toothpick or tweezers (see image above).
- Apply a small amount (up to pea-sized) of Crazy Keiki Cloning Paste directly to the node using the applicator. The paste is very thick and adheres quite easily to the node.
- Sit back and wait for the magic to happen!
When Keiki Paste Won’t Work
While Keiki Paste can seem like a miracle-worker, it’s not a magic solution for all plant growing issues. First, it’s important to note that Keiki Paste is not a rooting auxin. If you’re trying to get cuttings to develop roots, you’ll need a product containing auxin, the ingredient specifically responsible for root development. Use a product like Clonex Rooting Gel for this.
Keiki Paste also won’t fix deeper plant health problems. The overall health of the parent plant is crucial—if the plant is struggling, it won’t have the energy to support new shoots, no matter how much paste you apply. Proper sunlight, watering and fertilisation are still essential for healthy plants and effective results.
